View at Society & Socialism
Today i want to discuss something about society, our rights and socialism. if needed i’ll continue this in next post. I have the same rights you do, regardless of the work I do, and the same applies to you. That doesn’t mean that we are equal, for instance, economically even though I do nothing, and you do the whole work.
Society is seen as a contract, made between individuals in order to increase their strength for a better life, against an adversity ever increasing that if still individualists, we would perish. In this contract, all men agree to respect the freedom and liberty of all his fellow men, and place them as equal; because equality is the mean by which freedom an liberty are respected while living in society.
Society started like that (accordingly to theorists of the origin of society and the State); but, inevitably some sort of distinguish would appear that would make a men having it more “special” than everyone else. Some argue that this was physical strength, others like Engels, argued that it was wealth accumulation that differentiate all men, leading to a power division.
The guy with more wealth could mean that he was a better hunter, harvester, someone smarter than everyone else, thereby someone more obvious to be picked as a leader; or, as Engels said, in harsh times, people would rely on that guy, with more food, a bigger shelter, and such to survive, leading to a relation of necessity that sooner started to be used by the richest, leading to a power division.
Either way, we have the start of division and the beginning of the deterioration. The why things started to changed is because someone forgot what means to be in society.
Equality means no power division, even if I have more money than you have. Being ethical would mean that, even though we are in that situation, I wont use my money, as it is a sign of power, to cause a division of power.
That is a simplistic view of the whole, but for our means it will suffice.

IF it were true that all men and women are “equal” then we wouldn’t be going through the garbage we are now here in the United States. Each person would want the other to have the ability for personal access to health care, the right to modify their financial situation (assuming you were not one of the ones that put us where we are today, sorry to me you’d be out of luck). So that last statement I guess null and voids the intent I started with… that we should all be treated equally; that the people hired as temp job workers in Washington will get a _____ clue and do what is RIGHT not what their party wants. (Sorry just got done watching The Rachel Maddow Show on MSNBC and I am totally and utterly disgusted with Americans right now - on BOTH sides of what should never HAVE sides.)
